okay, so i have a feeling this is going to turn into one of those, "It's illegal!" type deals...but all legality aside, listen to the question and answer with what you feel.
I'm 17...18 in a few short months. My best friend/boyfriend, who is 25, has been with me for almost a year. My parents have met him but I don't think that they fully understand the relationship we have. We do not have sex...but we do experiment. He's my first serious relationship. But everytime I look at him I feel like I'm staring back at someone who is my age. Has anyone ever felt that way?
Oh yea, one last question. For a simple moral standard...what do you think when you hear of a 17 year old and 25 year old dating one another? (please give honest opinions...nothing is going to hurt my feelings or anything.)

Wow I feel like I am in your shoes. The guy I'm currently seeing is 22 and I'm only 17. He's like my bestfriend and we tell each other everything. And I totally know what you mean about looking at him and seeing someone your own age. I don't think that there is anything wrong with the 7/8 year age difference at all, and I'm not just saying that because of the 5 year age difference I have. I've never really felt that age is a big deal, sometimes people just click.
I think that if you can both make each other happy than go for it, besides your almost 18 that means your an adult. Your old enough to make your own decisions. It sounds to me that you guys have been very mature about the whole situation as well.
Good luck in the New Year.

I've been in a relationship with a guy much older than I was once. I understand what you mean when you look at him and see him as your age, except when I looked at my guy, I saw myself as not really his age, but very close to it. And even though I have been in a relationship like that, when I think of a 17 year old dating a 25 year old it makes me wonder why the 25 year old can't get someone closer to his own age.
Anyways, that's my two cents.

Well a few short months are important and i think first relationships should be with someone who is having one to.It makes every thing better. But age is not always important.

i don't think too much of it. your an older teenager, and your about to be 18, so i think your old enough to take care of yourself dating wise.
if it was like, 14 and 20, i would be a little more worried, but since your almost 18, it's fine.
just don't make any dumb choices!
