104 is when you should probably start to worry, which he is pretty close to now. When taking temp under the arm, add a degree. Treat with ibuprofen(every 6 hours) or tylenol(every 4 hours) and push fluids. Dress him lightly as this will help reduce the fever also. If he's keeping fluids down and fever meds are working, you can hold off until his appt. My kids have had fevers as high as 105.7 and docs don't seem too worried as long as meds work to bring it down. GL

Well remember that when taking temp under arm to add a degree. I would suggest giving a luke warm bath and really rubbing the skin to bring the heat to the surface for a few minutes along with tylenol. If you try this and the fever does not break I would go on to the ER just to be safe.

It's always wise to call your doctor....he should advise you on what to do. Don't worry about feeding him, but be sure he gets a lot of liquids. Under the arm temps are usually lower than by the mouth, so his temp may be 103. Try to stay calm. Children's Motrin will also help bring it down. Having a temp is a good sign that he is a healthly little boy. His body is fighting the infection. Take care!

My little ones? They the two had somebody to %. up after them and now they bypass away each and every thing because it falls... i think of my daughter is a little extra helpful. That pair have had each and every thing exceeded to them - extra distant places journeys than i've got had - and that i'm unsure they have been achieved a favour - the two would desire to get their priorities ideal and get their own homes extremely of waiting on mothers and dads to cark it...their grandparents lived to be almost a hundred on their mom's area....

Just keep an eye on him, his fever is likely to break before I finish writing this answer, young children succumb to high fevers it is normal for them you do not have to worry until the body temperature reaches 104 Fahrenheit or higher...

Get him to the hospital ASAP. I'm no doctor but 102.8 is very high for a baby.

i would take him if his temp continues to rise in the next 20-30 mins you can never be to careful when it comes to your child take his temp and record it every 10 mins and if you have to take him to the hospital take the temps with you.
good luck also if he isnt drinking alot try just sdo normal coke but shaken up so it is flat and hopefully he will drink that thats what we had to do with my brother.
