Good question, why do you suppose that the devil divided the universal church back in the 1500`s.

The scriptures aren't historical but rather:
"Where the word found that things done according to the history could be adapted to these mystical senses, he made use of them concealing from the multitude the deeper meaning; but where in the narrative of the development of super-sensual things, there did not follow the performance of those certain events which were already indicated by the mystical meaning, the scripture interwove in the history the account of some event that did not take place, sometimes what could not have happened; sometimes what could but did not.” (Early church father Origen)
The scriptures are allegoric and the signs and symbols represent the inner workings of our own mind. And since the scriptures are multi-dimension they reflect many different levels of reality depending on how spiritually mature the seeker is. Yeshua's movement was small, very small. Nothing like the allegorical story the scriptures tell, there was no thousands and thousands of people following them. Why? Because just like now the people then couldn't receive truth but were hung on to worshiping every material thing under the sun. When allegorical Yeshua told his apostles to make disciples of all nations. It is saying for one to gain mastery over the many legions with in them and to raise these fragmented parts of self up to the highest ideal. Not to convert every literal nation for this is impossible and will never occur.

The most important thing to have is the Holy Spirit. A Christian without the Holy Spirit is like a hydroelectric dam build on a desert. The early church traveled in small groups or two or three and would minister on the streets and be taken care of by other believers. The earliest known actual "church" building was built in Megiddo around 150AD by a Roman centurion.

The apostles often traveled in groups. They prayed together and discussed Jesus together. ( Remember the story of the two disciples on the Road to Emmaus.) They were told to make disciples and to Baptize them. They took this command of Jesus quite seriously. St. Paul's Acts of the Apostles and his letters are examples of this.

easy...we walk and talk with those around us daily....we set an example for them and teach them when we can....we do not need a universal church....I wouldn't attend it myself....it would have too much mixture of other religions that I don't believe in and would pollute the true message of Christ....and don't they talk about that anyway ...that in the times of tribulation and the Antichrists rule that there will be one church and one government....Ill keep doing what I do now and pray the Lord leads me...after all the original disciples started going from house to house and city to city and we today can do just that where we live we have grown so much in population all over the world that it would be easy

I don't see that holding faith in Christ is subject to any organization at all.. Seems to me that the Holy Spirit being present with the Believers is all that is needed to provide power to the disciples to carry out the Lord command to take His message of life to the whole world... Tell me why an organized church is more powerful than the Holy Spirit of God.. BTW I don't reject your faith in Christ for holding this belief I would just ask you to stop and think that God is more powerful than a Church. That Faith in more important than religion.... Jim

Well,it's easy, just find someone to talk to,maybe you could invite them to your church for starters,or bring Jesus, the subject,up usually when you're around that person. Now God knows that only 1 person ca't convert the whole world, that's why we need alotof people to help us.Why do you think we have youth groups.

Matthew 28:18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Right you are.
