ALWAYS have a used car you are considering purchasing checked out by your own mechanic. I do not care what records you have, there is no substitute for a complete check by a qualified mechanic.
Another thing to consider is that people tend to treat rental vehicles differently than they do their own cars. With different people driving the cars, the potential for abuse of the vehicle is greater.
Rental use reduces the cars resale value. Make sure that the price you pay reflects that fact!!

I've seen some of their prices and they are far from a good deal. Their prices rival those of dealers and their "certified" used cars.
But if you buy from them you don't need to pay extra for a mechanic as long as they come with the inspection report and a warranty. I believe Enterprise also sells trade-ins and not just rentals so I'd be careful about buying from them.
I'd rather just buy privately and get it thoroughly checked by a mechanic like AAA. Much cheaper that way.
Oh btw.... I had a Nissan that was a prior rental car and owned it over 3 years and 60k miles without a single problem. It wasn't a "certified" car and was bought without a warranty from a used car dealer. Sold it few months ago and the buyer hasn't had a problem with it either.

i've got considered a number of their expenditures and that they're some distance from a good deal. Their expenditures rival those of sellers and their "qualified" used autos. yet once you purchase from them you do no longer ought to pay greater beneficial for a mechanic as long as they incorporate the inspection checklist and a guaranty. i think employer additionally sells commerce-ins and not in basic terms leases so i could be careful approximately paying for from them. i could extremely in simple terms purchase privately and get it thoroughly checked by employing a mechanic like AAA. lots greater low fee that way. Oh btw.... I had a Nissan that replaced right into a prior condo vehicle and owned it over 3 years and 60k miles without a unmarried issue. It wasn't a "qualified" vehicle and replaced into offered without a guaranty from a used vehicle broker. bought it few months in the past and the customer hasn't had a issue with it the two.

Yes. Rental car places usually take very good car of those cars and you can usually get good deals when they sell their cars to the puiblic. Just to be on the safe side though, you should get a vehicle history report from carfax.com and also check the cars value with kelly bluebook. Enterprise does not sell trade ins. The cars they sell come directly from their rental fleets.

fleet maintained cars such as rental cars are usually a good idea. Check it out your self.
1. look in the radiator. see if there is any deposits of black goo. this could be oil from a bad water pump.
2. find the PCV line. it is a vacuum line about the size of your finger, running from the high point of the engine, usually the valve cover. check this line for build up such as black goo. this indicates the rings could be worn out and the engine will have to be rebuilt soon. 3. check for coolant leaks near the water pump. this is located near a large hose that leads to the bottom of the radiator. 4. check for exhaust leaks, while the car is running, have a Friend hold their hand over the exhaust, listen for a hissing sound, the sound could come and go, or just sound like continues flow of air.

those cars are NOT maintained properly, and they are sometimes pretty beat up. dealer sell them as program vehicles, which is certified with a nice warranty, but if you are buying it directly from enterprise, take it to a mechanic and have it thouroughly checked.
In any event though, i wouldn't buy one.

You might get a rental, you might get a repo, you might get a car they bought at an auto auction, unless they specifically tell you different.
