It is difficult to learn two languages at the same time. You are likely to get them confused or to learn both languages at a really mediocre/substandard level. You should first learn one and then the other.

I am studying Japanese and would also like to learn Korean. My friend first studied Japanese and now he is studying Korean. Because the sentence structure in Japanese and Korean are the same, knowing Japanese is making learning Korean much easier for him. If he had tried to study both at the same time, he would not know either language and studying both at the same time would HURT his learning of each rather than help.

You don't have to choose one or the other, I would just choose one BEFORE the other.

Good luck!

I'm not fluent, but I have enough ability to survive (Japanese, not Korean. I'm not learning Korean.) and, because I take it in a classroom setting and have Japanese friends, I can always ask if I'm unable to help you. I'm also on the internet everyday.
I also suggest this website. If you go early in the morning or late at night, you can usually find Japanese natives to speak with: http://www.sharedtalk.com

As for how much I know:
I'm on my third year of study for Japanese. I can read all kana (hiragana and katakana) and know about 300 kanji. Even though school is about to begin for me on the 3rd, I'm still on everyday from around (my time; Colorado, USA) 3PM-9PM. Weekends, however, I'm often on from 10 AM - midnight, unless I need to leave the house for something.

IM me if you're interested.

You're trying to learn both languages at the same time ? That's NOT a good idea ! Why ? Because learning just one of them will be VERY hard to learn. I'd pick one or the other.
