HI
As a Shibu Inu owner I can tell you that they are a heavy seasonal shedder. Mine sheds its winter coat and it is a lot of fur. They look a lot different in the summer when their fur is not as thick. I brush them everyday when they are shedding to help speed up the shedding process. Their coat is water proof so do not bath them a lot it will ruin their coat.

You don't adopt dog(s) based on how they look, what breed they are ect. You adopt a dog because you are an animal lover and want to help rescue puppies in need of a loving home. It isn't right to adopt a dog only if it looks a certian way. -Go to your local shelter and see the dogs there. They may be mutts, yes, but that does not matter. All dogs, pedigree or not, just want a home. -Adopt a dog that is loving, playful, and most importantly needs a good home. Which they all do. So it shouldn't be a problem finding one. If you like the dog, then please adopt him/her. I promise you, if you base adopting a dog on his attitude and heart rather than looks, then surley you and your dog will have a life time friendship.

ALL DOGS, unless they are hairless, shed. The people trying to market "non-shedding" dogs are full of it and just trying to make a quick buck off the ignorant. Groom your dog often and it will help with shedding but it will not eliminate it. It's just something that comes along with furry little animals.

ALL dogs..even Poodles (i have one) will shed. The only breeds that do not shed are hairless breeds.
Regular grooming and brushing will keep help reduce the shedding, but nothing will stop it 100%

well......The Shiba has a clean, coarse, stiff, short-haired coat that is easy to groom. Brush with a firm bristle brush to remove the dead hair and bathe only when absolutely necessary as it removes the natural waterproofing of the coat. This breed is a seasonally heavy shedder.

Yup. they have a double coat, like most Northern Breed dogs. They shed quite a bit.

ALL dogs shed hair.
Even dogs like dalmations and great danes who have short fine fur shed hair. But trust me, that will be the least of your problems when you get a puppy!

yes...most dogs besides poodles will do so. they have a very thick, coarse coat that remains pretty clean and doesn't require much grooming. they do shed a lot seasonally.
