My priest is not a babysitter. That's not in his job description. However, I would absolutely trust my local parish priest with children. He is a good man, like most priests, and has never once been accused of wrongdoing. Don't believe everything you read in the tabloids.

I spent a great deal of time surrounded by priests, nuns, monks and Church officials as a child, and attended Catholic school. Guess what? Nothing happened (except that I actually got a decent education).

Not that I have a five-year-old at this time (my son's 25), but if I did, I'd trust my priest in a heartbeat. He's a family man with kids of his own.

Well I don't have a priest, I have a Pastor. But with all the trouble the Catholics have had with there priests and young children...NO

ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULDNT TRUST A PRIEST ANY FURTHER THAN I CAN TOSS A PLANET WITH ONE HAND THERE IS A LONG HISTORY OF SEXUAL ABUSES WITHIN THE CHURCH AND IF I LEFT A CHILD WITH HIM i WOULD BE GUILTY OF FELONY CHILD ENDANGERMENT IF IT WAS ANOTHER AREA IT WOULD BE CALLED"DEPRAVED INDIFFERENCE" SO SINCE i HAVENT HAD A TOTOAL LOBOTOMY I WOULD EITHER TAKR THE CHILD WITH ME OR RESCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT UNTILL A SUITABLE SAFE BABY SITTER COULD BE ARRANGED GORBALIZER

i would not........when i was a fourteen year old boy ,a priest tried to violate me........i am now 42 ...and the priest is still giving masses......and for sure is violating more young boys

I am not catholic but certainly I would trust my pastor. I do not know any priests but unless it was one I new well I would probably not.
