"If I'm not making mistakes, I'm not learning"
Anonymous
(Also quoted as "If you aren't making mistakes, you aren't learning" I changed it for your application :)
I use this a lot with my daughter who gets upset when she can't do things right the first time. I also remind myself of the same thing. And I use it with my students to help them understand that the classroom is a safe place where they can make mistakes, because this is where they learn.

Of two things I am certain:
1. There is a God.
2. I'm not Him.
I'm not sure what the source is.

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people. --Eleanor Roosevelt
My candle burns at both ends
It will not last the night
but oh my foes and oh my friends
it gives a lovely light.
--Edna St. Vincent Millay
Those are two that just come to mind.

[quoting Marianne Williamson] Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

My two favourite quotes are both by Oscar Wilde:
" I have the simplest of tastes - I only settle for the best." and:
" Living well is the best revenge."

Most insightful was..People usually do, what they usually do.
I don't know who said that one.
Maya Angelou said something that is a favorite quote of mine,
"When you know better, you do better".
