alright well i have a question about if i bought like windows xp media center... if i bought xp mce and it came with a coupon to a free windows vista upgrade... well could i just use that coupon on another computer so i would have say mce on one and have vista home premium on another...just curious cause i plan to get vista home premium and i wanted to know if i could get mce on a different pc in my house

give me your thoughts on how that might work out for me

You have to have winxp already on your computer to use the upgrade. And, your only supposed to use your winxp code on one computer, so you not supposed to do what you are asking about.

FYI, I have Vista ultimate installed on a separate hdd in my computer right now and very rarely use it. Most drivers for vista are still beta and not working great. And, many of the programs I use do not work right in vista currently. I'd suggest waiting on moving to vista for awhile.

wow, I've heard of interesting upgrade options, but have never thought about that. I think they just hand you a Vista box when you turn in the coupon, so then maybe you won't have to give your computer to them. But I never really thought about this, try it. If you fail, at least you can still get Vista.
