Out of those three, I would suggest Latin. It will help you get a better grasp on Spanish, and it will also help you with your English vocabulary! Once you get SPanish and Latin down packed, Romanian and Itlaian will almost come naturally.

Language is for communication. Learn Italian since more people speak it than the other two. If you want to stand out from the crowd, learn Romanian. Romania is a beautiful country from what I've heard. I have a friend who will only date Romanian women. Maybe he knows something we don't?
BTW, Romanian is NOT a Slavic language as a previous answer says. But you already knew that, I'm sure. Latin is fun to learn, but pretty useless when it comes to wandering the streets of a foreign country and actually talking to anyone. Latin is NOT the root of English. English is a Germanic language, not a Romance language. I learned Latin and except for impressing someone at a party by being able to translate their family motto, it's not much use.

Latin - It is the root of many languages. I have found it relatively easy to learn. Some will say that Italian (another romance language) would be easier, but by learning Latin you will have a bridge to other languages. You might want to also consider Chinese or another Asian language. The Chinese government is attempting to shed it old image and wants to become a financial force to be respected, therefore, China's growth will provide jobs for people all over the world who can communicate with them effectively. Multi-linguistic persons will be in demand by many companies for obvious (financial) reasons.

Latin! Latina est gaudium et utilis. Latin is an interesting historical language and it can teach you a lot about the origin of a lot of english words. It also makes it a lot easier to learn languages that borrow a lot from it, like spanish and italian. Other languages that I've tried are: Greek, Russian, and Japanese.

I would say latin. I'm learning it right now, and it helps me a lot with english. Oh, and isn't romanian the same thing as latin because the romans spoke latin? I might be wrong, but that's what I thought.

Apparently you know English well and also know Spanish so in my opinion you have made it my friend. Now, of the three i would suggest Italian for some reasons. It sounds so romantic besides those operas. Wow!

I'd suggest learning biblical hebrew. The original biblical text is amazing and you'll have a lifetime's worth of fascinating reading material and self improvement.
