Faith is the gift that God uses to reveal the truth. Revelation proves your faith is right.

Thought-provoking question, but kind of unanswerable. Someone who isn't sure doesn't really have faith, so the people you are asking must either have faith and know they're right, or lack faith.

Knowledge is really about belief, not about fact. I know that the sun is a giant mass of burning hydrogen. If later on it turns out this is wrong, it won't change the fact that right now, I "know" I am right. The reason I know I'm right is because all available evidence from trusted sources tells me so. I've never actually ventured close enough to the sun to test this theory, so I don't have first hand knowledge. However, if I relied only on first hand evidence and doubted everything else, I wouldn't know much. So I've chosen to accept certain things based on trusted second hand sources.

Those who "know" that the universe is 6000 years old because the bible says so have really done exactly the same thing, it's just that they've chosen different sources as supplements to first hand knowledge. In fact, we all have "faith" in things we can't know absolutely, and treat this faith as if it were knowledge. And anyone who dissents, either saying that there is no god or that the sun is not a ball of super-heated gas, is clearly a lunatic. We faithful adherents of Truth know we're right.

My faith is not in being right or wrong - its in believing in God and that an intelligence higher than myself, has answers. I don't always know whether some of my conclusions are right or wrong - I live it open to meditate and observe. Just having faith cannot make me right in all my beliefs. I believe I will grow and even drop some of the things I now think because I have done so in the past. This does not make me insecure in my faith. Knowledge and mental growth are not static.

I have faith. I never think about it being" right".I was visited by two angels of light, only after I had faith and accepted Christ as Savior. I truly hated God for 21 years. A hate only a child could have. Children can hate as much as they can love. Since then, God or his messengers tell me things. When I had my 2nd daughter my husband cried. He cried the day she was born as it was his 3rd daughter. I always knew that I would have a son so I prayed. The Lord answered the day this precious girl was born and told me that when my little girl was four, then I would have my son. I have been telling that story since the day my little angel was born. I had my son when my daughter was 4. Many years later I was pregnant with twins and on bed rest. Something told me to get out of bed and go to the school . I argued thinking " I don't want to". The voice told me again to get up. I got up and went to my son's elementary school. I saw him on the playground and he told me that he left his glasses at the swimming pool. I thought ok that was the emergency. The messenger told me no, go to the highscool. I went to the highscool and saw a blonde head in the car in front of me duck. I thought " that is my girl". I chased the car (as it took off in a hurry). I finally cornered the car and my daughter was smoking a couple of different things. I figured that my messenger saved my daughter from some grave situation. Faith came first. I have several other situations like this. Happy New Year and Peace out.

Having faith isn't a matter of being right; its a matter of trust, acceptance, love, and a willingness to believe. To have faith in something is to place your trust in it. My faith in God is based off of my love for him and my willingness to follow him and walk with him in my daily life. I have faith that he is and that he watches over us like a father over his child. I have faith in my belief that redemption is possible even if you don't know how to ask for it. I have faith in the human race because there are people out there who care for people enough to accept them no matter who they are or what they have done. In relation to your question I guess I would say neither because faith can not in my mind be measured by right or wrong. It is only one persons beliefs. That, is my answer.

"Faith" calls for believing in the face of doubt. If people knew it to be true it would be "knowledge". I think it's faith in what they have been handed down by their parents or a yearning to believe in something to justify to themselves that they haven't wasted their life living a certain way.

Faith in religious dogma is founded on conceit and self delusion-I'm thankful it's an affliction I've never suffered from.
