So it's a sauerkraut (sp) and grilled cheese sandwich? I don't know if I can get on board with this one... But I definitely need that grill.

Heres my version!

Meatless Reuben Sandwich recipe
1 slice rye bread
Zucchini
2 to 3 tablespoons sauerkraut
Onion
Green bell pepper
1 slice mild Cheddar or Swiss cheese

Drain sauerkraut well, placing it in a wire strainer and then pressing with the back of a spoon to force the liquid out. Cut zucchini into thin slices. Cut thin rings from the onion and green pepper. Toast the bread. Spoon drained sauerkraut onto toasted bread. Arrange 4 or 5 zucchini slices on top, then add a few onion and green pepper rings. Top with the cheese slice. Place in a preheated oven or under the broiler until the cheese melts.

Here's my version of a grilled cheese: White bread, butter, cheese & hot skillet.
Here's my version of a Reuben:
Buttered & grilled rye bread, 2 slices corned beef, 2 slices swiss cheese, NO saurkraut.

I could probably handle both of these on the Foreman, but I also have one of those sandwich makers. I could probably look hard and find it and blow off the dust.
Enjoy your sandwich, if you like it fine, I just can't do saurkraut unless it is Bavarian on a Chicago hot dog, and that is only occasionally.
Happy New Year.

Sounds good. You gave me a good idea to use a George Forman grill as a Panini Grill. Thanks!
