We have a bi-racial daughter and moved in recently next to another family that is also bi-racial.
There daughter has had weave down her back since 4.......and now MINE wants its.....even though her hair is amazing.
I just wanted a consesus on how normal this was.........

since your the parent what you say goes either way. the child may want it but you have to consider the risk factors. i know a couple people have been wearing that stuff for a while now and their hairlines are starting to recede. also if she has great hair why cover it with something so pointless and fake. try getting her to discover her own natural beauty. maybe there is a reason that other little girl had a weave. or else it could be her parents give in to whatever.

Me niece had extensions when she was six. It helped her hair grow out and preventing breakage. Would a weave do the same thing? The only problem was that when my niece had the extensions she looked too mature for her age. I don't know, it's really up to you.

hair weave no. braids-yes. I have been wearing braids on and off since about six. Braids are a nice style for young children.

girl don't due that! her hair is way to pretty for that plus she is too young it will probably damage her hair!
