It all dpends on the situation - if we both have the intent of the date being the prelude to a night of sex then we are under no illusions and it is the first night.
If it is more than sex then I take it as it comes. My current gf and I went on several dates before we even contemplated sharing a room, and even then nothing happened.
My suggestion is play it by ear. The notion that sex on first dates make a female cheap or easy completly ignores the fact the love and sex are designed to be enjoyable for both persons involved. I am unsure what the attitude in your country is but in the southern hemisphere males and females in all bar a few circles are treated as equals.

Since I believe that the final decision in regards to any sexual contact is entirely in the hands of the girl I’m dating, this question is entirely up to her. So long as a believe a girl is legitimately interested in me and not merely stinging me on or using me in some other manner, I am more them willing to platonically date her until she is ready to make love.
That being said, I certainly enjoy relationships where she finds me physically attractive and we become intimate early in the relationship.

Usually sex on the first date means a short relationship, because we didn't have to "invest" so much in it to get you there. Still, exceptions abound. 2-3 dates is more the norm.

If she didn't want to I would respect her decision and not. If she did I would have to know her really well and stuff beforehand though, since I'm not easy.
Why would you have sex with your boyfriend on the night he asked you out though? What if he only asked you out for the sex?
