Maybe your cat smells her cat on her clothes or something, so your cat feels territorial because of the smell of the other cat.

cats can probably have more of a sixth sense then a person. She probably knows ur grandmother is really gentle, and wont hurt her, not saying that ur sister in law is not , but its just she probably feels more comortable with ur grandmother. Same with m y dog, he likes my dad more than my mom for some reason.,

well she could not like the smell of another animal. i know my cat HATES IT!!!! when i come home from the horse barn. or if i use a certain soap. he'll only bit me too! so it's funny but he's an odd cat too! but yea certain smells tend to set them off adn each cat if different too! remember they have their own personalities too!

cats know alot she might smell a dog on her the one she the cat doesnt like ur cat only knows u might ask maybe ur cat is male and hers female or whatever really cats are finickie and my jfer is seventeen and is still jealous keep her away from ur cat he might scratch her really

well maybe your cat doesn't trust her tell her to be real gentle to your cat and be very nice most cats trust you if you let them choose when they want to be petted
