Ganier Fructis (sp?) sells hair color that is formulated for grey hair. It's called 100% color. They also have a shampoo that is for color-treated hair, and I have found that it keeps the hair color in for a longer.

Make sure you Read the product you are using. Is it recommended for grey hair? Call the 1-800 number and ask for advice from them. You cannot be coloring you hair every two weeks, and expect to have hair for very long. I have been coloring my greys for 15 years now, and I know. Mine is healthy and shiny. Greys show through about 3rd week (new growth and fading, both). I color every 4th.

The reason that you have to redo your roots every two weeks is because your hair has grown that much in to weeks. Hair coloring is a continuing process. Normally you would have to get a touch up every two to four weeks depending on the color of natural and color used on hair.

Sorry to tell you, but nothing that claims to dye grey hair really works. Go to a salon if you want it done right. Then you can continue to do it at home once you see a few greys, not 1/3.

Maybe you need to leave in the dye a little longer. I'm going to wash that grey right out of my hair. Do you remember the song?

Take proper care of your hair with color-protecting shampoo and conditioner--the ones that are for damaged hair.
