How to let it go after someone breaks your heart into pieces? He was the love of my life and still?

is . We both are mature people but he swings back and forward all the time. We lived together and now he contacted me again but AGAIN he is indecisive. I did whatever I could but I told him I am not a puppet, if he wants someone else, he should make up his mind and then contact me. What you think? Please, be honest.
