I haven't had laser surgery (mainly coz i'm only 15 and my eyes could still get worse), but i know someone whose retina became detached and loads of horrible things led him to have a large gas bubble in his eye which he can't see through.
If you are wearing glasses and want a better option, contact lenses are amazing. You can get 30 day ones which you put in and take out a month later. They don't carry the risks of laser surgery, but depending on the type you get and the period you wear them for, they can cost more in the long run.
However, if you are already wearing lenses and want the surgery to remove the need for lenses, then maybe change your lens type.
I'm not making the decision, but i would choose lenses over laser surgery at the moment and see if laser technology becomes safer in the future (in fact, that's what i am doing!). Hope this helps you a bit!

I had my eyes done 7 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. During your assessment phase, everything will be explained to you and you will be told if you are a good candidate for the surgery. My surgery lasted about 15 minutes for both eyes. I had moderate discomfort for about 3 hours afterward, but, with the help of Tylenol, it soon diminished and all was well.

There are no cons. It's the most positive experience that you will ever have getting your 20/20 vision back. I had it 5 years ago and can see perfectly. Before the surgery, I was practically blind.

I had it about six years ago. Still works great. Some minor problems at first and had to have part of eye scraped which left me with a swelled eye for a week. But other than some night glares for the first six months, it was well worth it. Good luck with your decision.

Lasik and Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Try it, but tell them to only do one eye, let you see, then do the next. That way if they mess up you'd only have one blind eye instead of two blind eyes. It's your decision, but use my advice and you won't go completely blind if anything happens.
