I'm in love with someone that lives on the other side of the country, I have been for awhile now. This is a question for men that have dated only smaller fit woman. While I'm not huge and obese I'm about 20 pounds over weight, and not in the best shape. I'm meeting him for the first time in febraury, is there anyway he could see past my less than perfect body and be with me anyway?

Just so you know I am a guy, First be careful meeting someone in real life that you have been talking to on the net (this will be the most important thing I will say). Being overweight is not healthy, 20 lbs is not bad, I could live with myself if I was only 20 lbs overweight. You are seeing yourself as being flawed, this he will pick up on and he may use this against you, I know he is this great guy and he has been nothing but sweet to you on the net, but don't totally drop your guard. If you come off to him at the meeting like you are here then it gives him the upper hand so to speak. You want to feel better about yourself then you have all of January to take off at least ten pounds. I was once told that it is easier to lose five pounds than fifty. Get to the weight you want to be and check your weight on a regular basis and when you have put on 5 or 10 lbs then get a little bit more excessive and watch what you eat. I would still meet him but I would work on my confidence and insecurities. I hope I was some help, Good luck.

I believe that if you and that person have made a connection strong enough to make him come all the way from the other side of the world (and I'm sure you have exchanged pics) it is because there is something a lot more important within you that will make him oversee your physical attributes. I met a guy on the internet one time and we fell in love with e/o....(we were in love before we met in person, and we had seen pics of e/o). I live in the Dominican Republic...he came all the way from California and by the time I saw him all I wanted was to be with that person I had grown so many feelings for regardless of what he looked like, at that point I didn't really care.
If it makes you feel more comfortable with urself then try losing the extra pounds, but as far as I'm concerned I am almost sure he won't mind. Good luck!!

Sounds like you don't love yourself. So why should he? If you feel put off by your weight hey you have 2 months eat healthy exercise a little you'll drop a few pounds. But if you feel he will have a problem then don't worry about it be true to yourself. If you were honest to him about everything there will be nothing to worry about. He will except you and you guys will have fun in February.

NEVER change yourself to impress a Man and there is a reason for this. You want him to fall in love for who you are not what you are./
Let him see you like you would be with anybody else on a daily basis. If you extravagantly change just for him he will not see the real you and possibly fall in love with a ghost. ( A person that is not real)

Make your self attractive, lose some weight and be yourself, if he cant love you as you are, then he'll never love you.

It isn't what you look like- it's what you are on the inside that really counts. Don't ever forget that!
