Cure for poofy hair?

heres the deal...i have ALOT of hair. its curly, and its about a little bit past my shoulder blades. but its sooooooooooooo poofy! i can never wear my hair down because itll poof out and the volume overtakes my hair,, and i end up looking like Cousin It (as my dad says) off the Adams Family when i wear it down. I need a cure for this poof,,,cuz i wanna wear my hair down more often!! help por favor!

OMG!!!!! My sister used to have hair EXACTLY like that!!!! I mean, it was like, unnaturally poofy!!!!!! I wish she would get on yahoo answers to help you, but she thinks it's a complete waste of time......

Anyways, she started by getting frizz control shampoos and conditioners, like garnier frutis and TREsemme. Those worked really good. Then, shee spent 65 dollars on getting it chemically straightened. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooo worth the money, cuz it still leaves a little bit of a wave, but it makes the poof completely go away!!! I Iive in Ohio, and there's this hair place that's called Salon On Main, and that's where she got it done, so if you live in columbus, i would suggest going there. If u don't try going to the nearest hair solon to see what they can offer!!! Oh, and good luck!!!!!!

(I never thought there was someone with hair like my sister's.....)

Sunsilk-Poof-control 24/7 cream. Or put a littile bit of oil in your hair.

It sounds like your hair is dry or fine. Try a little oil or cream to weight it down and moisturize it.I use a natural product called Jojoba oil.Chemical free,just plant oil. I use it sparingly.You can get it from a natural foods market.

u should use pantene special 4 frizz and maby sunsilk special for frizz.
thats what i use and it realy helps!

my hair is poofy 2 i use a lot of mouse,hair gel,etc.use herbal essences products.

try frizz ease...works for me something, i have the same problem but not found ne great solutions....however frizz ease does help
