Don't worry about the bed wetting. She will come along when she is ready. Put pull ups on her. Tell her now that at her fourth birthday you will try again. Most likely, by then she will have the muscle control to not wet the bed.

About the writing...don't worry. The best way to encourage writing and to help your child is to make sure crayons, markers, pencils, paper, coloring books are available at all times. Don't put them up (unless you HAVE to because of a little toddler or something like that). Let her draw and write whenever she can. It is so common to stress to young kids (at age 2 and 3) to write...but most have not mastered the physical ability to do this.

Limit the amount of liquid she drinks before bedtime. Starting a couple hours before bedtime, only give her a few sips if she's thirsty. A full sippy cup before bed equals a full bladder through the night and an accident waiting to happen. Also, make sure she goes to the restroom right before she goes to sleep for the night.

As for writing, put a pencil or crayon in her hand and drawing letters for her. Explain what you're doing as you make the letter. ie: "For an O, we make a big circle" Then let her have control over the pencil and ask her to try making another one on her own. There are also writing primers available at parent and teacher supply stores that have activities kids can do that teach how to form letters and spell simple words.

Good luck and above all, be patient. At three, the desire to learn is there, but their attention spans may not allow for long lessons.

As far as the potty training thing, I don't know because my three year old does the same thing. He's fine during the day but I still have to put a diaper on him at night. All kids are different and I'm sure she will get the hang of it in time. Anyway with the learning towrite my three year old has a blast with some books that have the letters where you can trace them. He actually did very well the very first time he tried it. Good Luck on both!!!

First to address the bed wetting. Most three year olds do not have the bladder control to "hold it" all night.
Most children outgrow bedwetting. It is thought nearly 100 percent of one-year-olds wet the bed. By age five, this percentage drops to around 20 percent and by age 10 it is around 5 percent.
Nocturnal enuresis (classic bedwetting) is caused by any combination of the following:

Failure to arouse — the child does not wake up when the bladder is full.
Increased production of watery urine during sleep — the child produces more urine during sleep than can be handled by the child's bladder.
Size and volume mismatch — the child's bladder capacity has not caught up with the volume being produced.
You should know that it is normal for a 3yo to wet the bed. My three yo does and she wears pull-ups to avoid the mess.
In order to help your child begin to write you should look into purchasing beginers tracing books to start to learn pencil control and then advance with other tracing books to letters, numbers, and shapes.
Best of luck to you and your child!!

Still wetting the bed at night is normal. My son became potty trained at 3, but still wet the bed off & on until he was 4.
Start out making letters & have her trace it, then move to making letters out of dots & have her trace it. That'll give her a start at learning how to write.

Yes, wetting in her sleep can be normal at three. Just let her wear pullups and change herself when she wakes up. Don't make a big deal of it, just make sure it is her responsiblity. As far as writing, I use a font I found online that is dotted - I print out my students names with the dotted letters and they start learning to write by tracing over them.

Wetting the bed is usual but then again it is not....lets just put it this way. some kids have that problem and others dont. my cuzzin is 6 and he still wets the bed! so what you do is make her go to the bathroom b4 she goes to bed. and if she is still wetting the bed wake her up and take her to the bathroom.
