I have a friend with depression, she is now decideding whether or not to take depression medication. What are the pros and cons of the medications? Does it really help? Why or Why not?

I think she must talk to a therapist then if that didn't help she can take the medication

No meds please!!! They become part of the problem. It'll only substitute the depression for deppendency. I fought mine by my self after two years taking pills that only caused me to fail my school year. If you ask me, there is no meds for depression or attention disorder. The human body needs exercise and fresh air, and positive humans around it.

i found talking about it to a psychologist helped, maybe she should try that before resorting to medication, apparently its hard to get off of medication.

its a decision and mind power over body. let her be with people, go out and do stuffs. know what made her feel helpless.
