It's worth the same as a new bottle is now :: Although old bottles of booze may have some collectable value spirits do not get better with age. Many red wines can, provided they're cellared properly, but that nice bottle of CR will taste identical to a brand new one - unless it's in a collectable/specialised bottle. ⟣

Hello,
Unfortunately your Crown Royal is not an "official" collectible. What I mean by this is there are are liquors that are sought out by collectors. Examples of these would be Louis XIII & Remy Martin XO. However, this does not mean that someone who would not find this item to be of interest.

I like to equate liquor & wine collecting to collecting comic books. Comic books are fun and interesting but not all of them qualify as a collectible.

To find out what other liquors are considered collectibles please visit your local library and look at books on vintage spirits or check out amazon.com. There are a few collectors that have formed groups on the web as well.

I'd say its more of a novelty than having any value.

Its not like the whisky is going to be any better than a botlle you bought at the store today.

It's worth the same as it was in '53. Whiskey ages in barrels, not the bottle. Sorry.

The value is only what you can sell it for. Your enjoyment is probably the best value.
