Why can't we just take all the money that goes toward religion and put it going towards finding a cure for cancer and other deadly diseases? Wouldn't that help a lot more than giving it to some crazed loons?

Religion is big business. It would be great to put this money toward helping our fellow man. But we need to keep the church building up and all the fancy mural's and such clean. A church in Washington State was gold plated and reported to have costs millions to build, blasphemy if you ask me!
Then we have to pay the preacher or father so they can have there new cars and nice homes. Pay the church employees.
Grew up around the church and never could understand why more of the money did not go to the communitee...

There are already millions upon millions of dollars going to cancer and stuff but I think they are way too smart to not come up with 1 cure yet. They want people to stay sick so they can make billions. As for giving money to the church, I think it's a good thing but you should be careful who you give it to. Many ministries provide homes, food, clean water, and disaster relief to those in need.

Not all people that believe in religion are loons and the bible tells you to tithe 10% that's why we do it. It doesn't matter what they do with the money as long as you do what the lord requires you to do.

Churches are an organization of good people that like to organize good fun non alcoholic events to bring family and friends close together ! They teach the righteousness of the Lords way as we should try to live. We are all sinners but we can continue to try to be kinder and selflessness to others

I give my money in faith. As in I give it and after that I don't worry about where it goes. I gave it in faith. But my chruch gives a lot of it back to the community that needs it. Christians don't keep the money they give to God, most churches use it for the good.
