According to Islam: Are women deficient in intelligence?

The Hadith

(Bukari vol. 1, no. 301)

Allah's apostle ... said "O women! Give alms as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers in hell-fire were you women....I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you."

The intellectual and religious deficiencies of women are stated in the following Hadith found in Sahih al-Bukhari which is considered by Muslim scholars to be "The most authentic book after the Book of Allah (ie. the Qur'an)":[13]


"Allah's Apostle once said to a group of women : 'I have not seen any one more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious, sensible man could be led astray by some of you.' The women asked: 'O Allah's Apostle, what is deficient in our intelligence and religion?' He said: 'Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?' They replied in the affirmative. He said: 'This is the deficiency of your intelligence' ... 'Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?' The women replied in the affirmative. He said: 'This is the deficiency in your religion.'"[14]

I guess this is truly a deficient religion...the evidence speaks for itself.

well if u had read the other hadiths after that and not just in sahih bukhari but in sahih muslim dawood and timmidi you would know what he was saying .the rasool(Saws) says that he had a dream about the hellfires and that majority of the inhabitants are women and he was asked why.and the rasool(saws) said that women will disobey their husbands and not make them happy which we are seeing so much now .husband comes home from work and the house isnt clean there is no dinner on the table for him she is spending his money like its water and it grows on tree's this is what is meant and another we see so many women that are wearing clothes but still naked.doesnt matter where you go to the store the hairdressers even at family functions the females are half dressed.and deficient yes we are deficient becuase in islam and all the other 2 major religions when the women is on her menses she is not to pray for she is unclean so the male has more prayer times then the female.and we females are very moody on that time of month .so YES we are deficient

here is my interpretation buddy!some dude in the dessert was bored and wrote this funky book on how he wanted the world to be.women should be easy and cheap.men can do what ever they want with them so they could scre* when ever they felt like it.

absolutely not; and mind you, hadiths don't constitute religious law. The Quran says we are equal and that the Quran "[6:114] Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?* Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor any doubt. " Quran holds higher position over hadith. Peace.

but different roles. Allah's apostle in reality was a male chauvinist who subjugated women as objects to satisfy his lust.
