I have two Uniden cordless phones. One has a fairly new battery the other is older. Neither will hold a charge after chargeing about 12 hours. I asked the girl who works here if she wiped the charger contacts with the pledge rag. She said no. I think she is lieing, BOTH phones? What can I use that I have here to clean the contacts?

I clean my cordless phones by using a spray bottle of 1/3 ammonia and 2/3s water. Spray a rag or paper towel and wipe. It works great for just about any surface, including phones.

Charging contacts are best cleaned with a pencil eraser. Just a few rubs will do it, then blow off the crumbs.

you answered your own question when you mentioned that the phones are uniden. I am a telecom tech. Those phones suck.. get something better... but make sure its 5.8ghz
