I don't think it's illegal for a 15 year old to go out with an 18 year old, but in Canada it's illegal for an 18 year old to engage in sexual intercourse with an 15 year old.

Ctrary to some answert here, it is illegal . . . even if the person only shares gentle affection. Is it bad? I'm no judge, but if he's really in love, then he can be a friend fro 3 yrs.
The truth is, the parents of the 15 yr old girl are the ones to press charges. If you bring him home and discuss with them the relationship, they may accept it.
In any case, they should consider the girl's age and let her experience life a little more before getting together.
My little girl didn't date till she was 16. Even then sparingly, in groups, and only boys her age.

It is not illegal for a 15yo girl to go out with an 18 yo boy (or vice versa) but it would be illegal for the 2 of you to have sex. Your guy could be charged with statutory rape in some if not all states because you are not legally an adult.

Depends on the State you live. Some might considered child endangerment. Although, adults can only estimate the maturity of a young person like yourself these laws were put in place to prevent someone getting taken advantage of on many levels. You should be okay if there is not any sexual contact. Honestly, I can not say it is bad or good.
Make sure he feels the same about you and is willing to suffer any consequences.

it is only illegal if they have sex! The person that is 18 would only get into trouble if the 15 year old parents press charges against them. I think if it is within a three age difference they won't get into trouble anyway.

its not illegal to date 1 but it is illegal in some state to have sex at that age.. in the state of washington its 16 or higher. california its 18 or higher. depends on the state you live in. when you get older age doesnt matter as much but right now you seem alittle young for him

It is illegal for him to have sex with you because you are under the age of consent (18). He could be prosecuted if your parents or someone turns him in. Be careful...it is ok to hang out with him as friends but not a good idea to date him.

Why do you believe it is illegal or bad? Does he share the same guilt? Just remember you have your whole life ahead of you, therefore, you don't need to make a long-term commitment at your tender age.

Well it happens all over whether its legal or not. However in my state we have a law that is, if a girl of 15 is dating a man of 18 it is considered statutory rape, if they become intimate. Parents could put him in prison if they wanted to pursue it.

hopefully it's illegal. I mean, I'm 16 and still wouldn't date an 18 year old. wait till you've matured more. he's an adult, you're not.
