The final reward, ressurection or heaven, do you believe buddists, hindus , jews and moslems will be there? What about those who lived and died before Jesus? If you are Catholic what about Mormons, baptists, etc. Protestants/evangelicals what about Catholics?

NO one really knows for 100% sure. No one but God can judge and say who will be in the Celestial Kingdom - or heaven - I believe in 3 Kingdoms of Heaven or degrees of glory. Celestial, the highest, then Terrestrial and Telestial.
I believe there are certain things one must do to attain glory in the highest kingdom, but do not necessarily believe it's only the "mormons" who will be in the Celestial Kingdom.
If yo want to know more, read Doctrine and Covenants section 76 at LDS.org. Section 76 is a recorded vision Joseph Smith had about the three different kingdoms and the types of people who will inhabit them.
Good luck.

People who accept Jesus as their Savior AND Lord go to heaven. That would be any true Christian whether they are Catholic or Protestant or Messianic Jews or Jews for Jesus or whatever. Those who lived before Jesus's time would have been saved simply by knowing that the coming messiah in the future would save them.

The key to heaven is faith. Before Jesus, Abraham "believed God and it was credited him righteousness". After the cross, "it is by faith we are saved". Faith in what God has revealed to us.

Today, Jesus HAS BEEN revealed to us. His birth, life, death, and resurrection. That is the gospel. Believe it and be saved. Otherwise, you are dead in your sins. You stand condemned already. All that remains is a fearful expectation of judgment.

God has done everything! He just wants us to believe Him and be saved. The teachings of Buddists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Catholics, and Protestants denominations alike are meaningless. They are man-made religions and/or organizations that mean nothing to God.

And none of them will go to heaven without faith in Christ.

Moses and Elijah were with Jesus, so the answer would be "yes" to those born prior to Christ in the flesh.

It's really as simple. If standing at the 'gates' of heaven and asked why you should be let in, how should you respond?

If you said, "because I'm a good/nice person", that's not going to do it.

But if you said, "the only way I should get in is because Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for me," THEN you'd be on the right track.

As far as the split in denominations.......ugh. I don't know what to say. At every angle of any Christian church should be Jesus, the good news about him and what he HAS done (not this WWJD thought) for us on earth.

All those that believe Jesus is the Son of God are going to heaven.

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:11-13 (in Context) Acts 4 (Whole Chapter)

I believe that EVERYONE will be resurrected. It's a free gift. I believe that those who will return to live with God (AKA what you call heaven) are those who choose to follow Him. Those who didn't know the truth in this life (those who died before Christ, or never learned about Christ's true church on Earth) will have a chance to hear it after they die.

The following verses will tell who goes to heaven or not, especially Rev. 20:12.

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And as it says in Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
So, there will be more than 144K in Heaven.

I'm Muslim, but here are our criteria to get to heaven:
1. Do good deeds for God (the one and only) in aspiration of the next life
2. If you were never informed of the truth, God may/may not forgive you depending on your deeds
Fair enough? :-D We're actually a very encompassing religion; the biggest sin though is to knowingly associate partners to God or not believe in Him (after all the grace He has bestowed on us). May God guide us all to the straight path. Peace.

When I was a kid in the 1960's the Catholic priests taught us that only Catholics go to heaven. Non-Catholics go to the other place regardless.

I'm pretty sure they don't think they teach that anymore. Apparently God must have relaxed the admittance requirements.

Anyone who accept Jesus Christ as Lord will go to Heaven. He came for all people. Before Jesus came, people who looked forward to His coming went to Paradise. After His death, He took them to Heaven.
