Faith is not "belief without evidence." It is belief without "proof."
There is much "evidence." to support my belief.

WE all have the same measure of faith..it is not gullibility. You wake up every morning with the faith that you will see when you open your eyes, with the faith that your legs will work when you step on them...that your coffe pot will work, that your car will start..etc. Does that mean that you are silly and gullible because you have faith that you aren't going to wake up blind in the morning. What if someone got in your face and said "prove it! I believe that in the morning your eye balls will be dried up and you won't be able to see...come on..are you really that gullible..?" would you suddenly HAVE to have a doctor give you proof that your eyeballs will be intact and working in the morning before you could fall asleep.?? I think not..your faith believes your eyes will work.
We all have faith, it just depends on how we use it. Being gullible is not the same. Happy new Year! :-)

Before any physical laws were ever discovered, it started out with belief. Einstein law of special theory of relativity was only a belief then by him which he can only see with his mind. That time, no apparatus was available yet to prove Einstein belief. As it turned out later, he was correct. Unfortunately though, belief in spiritual phenomena can't be proven by empirical data but like Einstein it can be observed by a keen and observant mind. Both physical and spiritual laws produce results or leaves a trail that lead an inquiring mind to discover an explanation of such possibilites.

In science this it how it works: Belief, empirical data and result. In spiritual laws: Belief, faith and result.

When belief becomes gullibility? When there's no clear indication of results that's gullibility. It simply expect something to come out of thin air without strong spiritual theory to back it up. In this point faith is a useless exercise.

I have a very interesting fact to share with you how an act of generousity actually enriches your life rather than depletes your resources. This is one belief that has strong spiritual theory , no empirical data but ample of positive results. Most generous people are very rich. the richest guy( forgot the name) in the world was so generous he actually put up a foundation that serves the need of the poor. Scientist will scoff at the idea because there's o empirical data to back up the correlation of giving up percentage of wealth and the increase of wealth respectively. But the results are there. Can not be denied. Too much to be coincidence.

There is also another definition you left out of faith and that is - the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved. Whereas to be gullable is the tendency to believe too readily and therefore to be easily deceived. When a scientists suggests a new theory you will believe even though there may be dozens out there already that contradict the others. Jesus did die on the cross for our sins, that is our evidence.

If you never question your faith and follow it just because other people do, then it is straight up gullibility. But many people dont like to critically question their faith-so in that case it is.

There is a big difference, because there is evidence, that there is a God. Look in the mirror, what do you see? You are a living miracle, you came from a seed planted in your Mothers womb. You grew inside her body. Where do you think the sky, planets etc. came from? Look at all the beautiful races God created. Look at the beauty of the earth around you! Trees, grass oceans, lakes etc. These things didn't come out of nowhere, by themselves!

Faith without evidence is not worth diddly-squat!
It has been the practice of many religious organizations to tell their people to simply believe.
They have taken this tack because they wish to have their people believe things that are not true.
e.g. trinity, immortal soul, etc.
Romans 10:17 says faith FOLLOWS.
What does it follow?
"The thing heard" or, in other words ....the thing studied.
The thing examined.
The thing analysed.
As Romans 12:2
"prove to yourselves the .....will of God."
PROVE to yourself.
Please don't confuse Christianity with christendom.

Faith leads to experience. Gullibility leads to people like you.

If we Christians are wrong then we are quite gullible. Faith means you entrust your heart, soul, and mind to something (or Someone). Gullibility means you are easily convinced of falsities. You may find Christians gullible. We find you faithless.

Faith has plenty of evidence.
Who is really gullible?

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.

We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.

The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.

Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

Well believing that there is no higher intelligence and that all of the universe, stars, moon, planets, all the laws of nature, the balance of everything created itself by its own intelligence requires quite a bit of faith also.
