I have a large male hybred he is 3 yrs old and my female hybred will be 3 this month. I want to breed them but he is much taller then she is and ends up on her back ( he has no aim ) this is the first time for both of them. What steps do I have to take to breed the two. She seems to short for him and wont stand for him to get the right aim.

No your dog is not too short. There have been small dogs breeding with large ones beofre. You may need to assist your dogs. Hold your female on a stool for him if he can not get it right. Or your vet can do it for you....-Good Luck-

Hybrid whats? Dogs? Wolves? Designer dogs?

I don't think that you are prepared to breed. You aren't asking the right questions and don't know how to spell hybrid. You just don't seem prepared. Wait and spend some time doing more homework. Having two unaltered dogs is not a reason to breed. Responsible Breeding is done ONLY to improve a specific breed or line.

If there is a national club for this 'hybrid' that you have, then contact them about becoming a breeder. They should be able to help you further. Just going ahead with it will be unethical and immoral - so get all the info you can before you go down this path.

Even though you don't have a purebred, the AKC's responsible breeding steps http://www.akc.org/breeders/resp_breeding/index.cfm and a few other breeding sites can help get you prepared and educated.

It is possible that the mating of these two won't happen, but then again, if they can do it, they will. Just try giving them as much time together as possible. Normally nature will take care of itself. My dogs did end up in some interesting possitions, mainly because of her doing, but she still gave birth some time later. Don't worry, just let them handle it on their own.

If the mating is unsuccessful this time around, try again, or you could check into renting a stud. Sometimes there will be listings in your local newspaper, or contact other breeders in your area, they may rent out one of their males.

the word is hybrid. I think one of the basics for dog ownership is at the very least, being able to spell the breed of your dog.

Don't breed them. If she wanted him to breed her, she'd make herself available.

Yeah, we have such a shortage of large mutts in this country.

Fix your dogs, you have no idea what you are doing, and we have enough homeless mutts already!
