You should not even consider them, If you thank or accuse anybody it should be the author of the book not the ones in the story? Jesus Christ gave us the book to tell us all we needed to know to get by and serve him. Now consider the facts, does eating fruit make you know you are naked? NO ! Does eating fruit make you desire to cover your private parts instead of your mouth with fig leaves. This story has no relationship to mankind without further understanding! Where is thou shall not eat fruit in the Bible as a commandment or which fruit is the bad one? Consider another Bible verse to answer this question; Proverbs 30:20 This is the way of an adulterous woman: she eats and wipes her mouth and says, I have done no wickedness.
Also consider knowledge of good and evil may also be something other than just head knowledge; First in King James Bible-Luke 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
then in amplified Bible- 34And Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I have no [intimacy with any man as a] husband?

Good question! How can they blow it? If God created them in his/our image and his/our likeness and they were not as smart as the Devil that he created! Being that God said that the serpent was the most subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God has "Made" Who made the serpent? God! and he made the serpent the most subtle (smartest) and then he put innocent Adam and Eve in this enviromet? Would you put your children in a enviroment were harm could come to them? Then punish them for there first mistake? Which you set up! Come on people WAKE UP!!! before it too late it seems like your God has a short fuse!!

In Islam, God declared to the angels he will send a vicegerent to earth. It therefore the destiny of Prophet Adam and his wife Eve(Hawwaa) to be on earth. They did go against God's orders thus committed a sin; they fell victim to the evil persuasions of Satan. But immediately after sinning, they repented their mistake, sought Allah’s forgiveness and were forgiven.

The point is that they were meant to be on Earth and .............well yeah I've heard this saying that if only prophet Adam and his wife Eve did not commit this sin, then all of mankind will be enjoying in paradise. This statement is does not make sense because God did say in the Quran that it was his intention to send a leader on Earth.

So yeah...........the answer is in my opinion that we should neither thank them nor should we actually put any blame on them. What we should do is to respect them, continue to be vicegerents on earth, the purpose of the creation of mankind, and know that mankind will tested of our faith as God tested prophet Adam and his wife Eve.

both, !
they blew it and they should be thanked.
Althoug i dont know if EVE was faithful, i have been taught to believe that Adam was faithful all his days.
Eve was counted and judged as the one who transgressed so she was given the greater punishment.
Adam disobeyed God in eating the forbidden fruit but he was also acknowledged as resisting the temptation of satan but obeying the commandment of marriage to eve. So he ate the fruit she offered to him.
We are here because we are the family of ADAM. All of us.
well? all of us except Jesus and Mother Mary. they were adopted into the family of Adam through Noah and Gabriel to bring about the salavation of mankind. And eventually unto the exaltation of godhood.

You would not find a place in scriptures thanking them or bemoaning them either... the fall is now a reality to deal with

thank the second Adam.. Jesus Christ... he was tempted.. in a dessert not a garden... by himself not in comfort... and he was victorious... thorns grew up because of Adams sin and the ground was curses and Jesus was lifted up from the ground and wore the greatest crown of all.. the crown of thorns

Well if we use the supposition that God is omnipresent and omniscient then he knew what was going to happen before he even created Adam. Therefore due to determinism he is the only one to blame for anything that has ever happened or never happened or will happen, is likely to happen or will never happen.

They were human, they had free will and temptation. if you put a desirable cookie in front of a 3 year old he will eat it, Not to say Adam and Eve were infantile but they are human and had temptation but yeah they kinda blew it but put yourself in their shoes, or behind their fig leaf

It wasn't their fault. They were set up.

God created human nature and set up the conditions. No creatures with human nature could have done differently.
