there are so many disorders that have "dizzyness" as a sign....you need to tell you doctor this is interfering with daily activities and that it is worrying you....if your not happy and he is blowing you off get another doctor...
may be a inner ear infection or
rising too fast from bed may be causing your blood pressure to drop a bit causing you to be dizzy (orthostatic hypotension)...can be caused by some medications also
maybe your blood sugar needs checked you may have a low blood suger in the morning after not eating all night
in any case you need to be evaluated by a doctor and if yours isnt listening remember you are a patient yet also a customer and
dont be afraid to assert yourself

A good Doctor has following points.. *His social or communication skills with the patients which constitutes both verbal and non-verbal (body language) communication...As our profession is a Community Service. *He should be a role model (a doctor who tells his/her patients to quit smoking should not be seen smoking outside the hospital 5 minutes after the patient leaves.. where's the intergrity in this right?) *He should be able to communicate in a way the patient understands (not going off on the properties of amino acids... etc. etc) as this may come out as arrogance *He, IDEALLY should follow up on his patients ... give them phone calls to see how they're doing *The doctor should be WILLING TO TEACH!!... this goes along very well with preventive health care. The doctor should give the patients the fishing rods, rather than the fish. If a doctor knows how to teach his/her patient what to do and what not to do, the doctor will be able to help the patient change his lifestyle for the better so that the patient doesn't have to keep coming back. *>And last but not the least he must be INTELLIGENT, UPDATED, And Most Of all ETHICAL. It can happen in people with blood pressure problems. It can also be a side effect of some medications and be considered not a "problem." Try getting up slowly by sitting on the bed for a couple of minutes before you get up instead of suddenly rising in the morning and see if this helps.

Change Drs. Low blood pressure, slow heart rate, low blood sugar, low iron..all can cause those symptoms. If your dr is dismissing your concerns, then you need a new dr or you need to go in and demand that he listen to your concerns. Drs are not all knowing and can sometimes dismiss things that don't seem important. If this is happening to you regularly, it is not a passing problem. It is something that needs to be investigated further.

All of the answers are good but another thing it could be is thyroid problems. I have thyroid problems and I use to get real dizzy before they got my meds strong enough. I would definitely change Dr if he just dismissed it because this is not normal.

First of all, get a new doctor. It's your blood pressure dropping when you sit up too fast - which it shouldn't. You could have a blockage or other issue...get to a caring physician and good luck!

Blood pressure and blood sugar would be good ones to look at. Also maybe vertigo, but that usually occurs when going from decline position to up. Check your blood pressure at drug store, or use home monitor and keep checking it.
