i know that american pancakes are different from the ones we make here, ours are so simple to make really and you can make so many variaties ,

milk, flour, egg , beat this till you get a semy thinck batter( like american pancake batter) fry it in some margarine.
we use different syrup than yours as well, sweeter. but you can also use some variaties in your batter, like baileys, amaretto, rumraisins (raisins soaked in rum over night) very very good, we don't eat pancakes for breakfast, usually we eat them for lunch or dinner. they are even very tasty when you make too many and you eat them cold with some sugar

good luck and enjoy

Some of the best pancakes have the eggs separated. A good whipping of the whites makes the pancake fluffier.

Buttermilk is good to use. Try adding mashed bananas, or strawberry bits, blueberrries, walnuts, craisins. These will perk up a plain ol' box mix of basic pancakes.

Substitute milk for water, honey for sugar. Add your favorite jam for the sugar.

Fresh-brewed coffee, good conversation, bacon or ham. I'll be right over!

yes, the pancake is a cake made with a pan, so there are different types of pancakes. Russians are made without eggs and milk.

in France they make crepes which are basically much thinner pancakes...they are really yummy and you can put a lot of different fillings in them or on them so you can make a wide variety...
