According to various sources the world has been due to end almost every day since the beginning of recorded history. The issue of Jesus returning is a little more difficult as the Jewish and Muslims don't see him as the messiah and therefore won't be heralding the 2nd coming.
If you strictly adhere to the bible however the return of Jesus can't happen until certain things happen (i.e the conversion of the jews to christianity) so don't be too worried :)

Only God the Father knows the hour (see Matthew 24). Jesus warned us not to be caught off guard, since His return could happen at any moment.

The real question, then, is how to get your "house in order" today, since the future is never a certainty. Putting things in order means establishing a proper relationship with God. He needs to be the Head of your "house" (i.e. your life).

Jesus has settled your outstanding balances with God. Down to the last penny. And when you surrender your life to Him, He places His new life in you (John 3:7-8). It's futile to try to tidy up the place before He comes calling. Just give it up and let Him have the whole mess. He's yours for the asking (Ephesians 2:8-9), and as you respond to His Lordship, He'll gradually work in you to set things right. (Hebrews 12:2)

The world is scheduled to end at 10 past five tommorow. Which is annoying, because Im at work till 6.

Jesus was due back from the shops half an hour ago. This is also annoying, because I asked him to bring me a packet of Doritos and a bottle of Dr Pepper. I reckon he has gone to the pub again.

Not sure but there are good chances of either this year or by 2020, this is backed somewhat by Biblical passages. Something like Israel got their land back and became a nation in 1967 and a Biblical generation is 40 years so 1967+40 is 2007.

Don't listen to these ravings.
Genuinely spiritual people aren't interested in frightening you with stories that no-one can actually support.
At some time, millions of years in the future, the sun will explode and that will be the end of the world. Before then a huge meteorite MAY, just possibly, hit us and cause severe damage. NOBODY KNOWS if or when that'll happen.
Stories of the second coming are just that, stories.
Live a decent life according to your lights and don't worry.

the world was due to end at 6:15 last nite but due to technical difficulties it has been delayed for 3000 years. jesus is just out getting some bread so i think he'll be back in about 15 mins.

Man knows not the time or day. When God tells Jesus to go get his children, it will be so fast that I think that there will be a lot of chaos here on earth. Don't be scared. If you are not a christian, and you believe that jesus died for your sins, ask for forgiveness and for him to come into your heart and soul and you will have nothing to worry about. God bless

Jesus is never coming back... he died 2000 years ago. The world is not "due to end." As a matter of fact, the earth will be here for a long long long long time after we are gone. Who knows when or how our species will come to an end... I'm positive it won't have anything to do with Jesus.

Don't bother yourself with ancient myths. Jesus' entire message was aimed at those who lived in his time. He believed that man kind would come to an end within his lifetime... Much of what Christianity is today has taken the ideas of Jesus and twisted them to forever bind you in fear. Just let go of that fear, it's irrational and only designed to keep you under the control of others.

Get over it. Its not going to happen any time soon and Jesus has nothing at all to do with it. When it happens, it will be due to humans and nothing is happening now that hasn't happened in the past. The only difference is the level of technology.

Jesus will come back before the end. He has to eradicate all the non Christians first. Muslin extremists who want a holy war?. Religious extremists who use the Koran to fatten there pockets etc. Relax we will both be in heaven before he shows himself.
