This sounds absolutely insane, but it works.
Fill the tray up with water, and place a fabric softener sheet in it and let it sit for a couple of hours or overnight. (I usually put them in the oven so they don't get spilled) let them sit, and they will almost always wipe clean. Like I said, it sounds nuts, but it works, on non stick or plain pans, metal or glass, or pots that something burns in.

The trays are fine,they won't be shiny anymore,but they will still work. Next time your daughter wants to make cookies,get her those disposable aluminum cookie sheets. They are like a $1 and if she burns them,she can just throw the pan away.

You can use the trays but they won't look shiny and new anymore.

if it will not scrub off easy soak it if not then put water on it and put the oven on
