Is the IQ test on the international high iq society website reliable and accurate?

An IQ score generally refers to a score obtained on one of two individually administered tests - the Wechsler scales or the Stanford Binet. The tests that you do on line are not real IQ tests, and do not give real IQ scores. They are fun to do and amusing and they tell us something about ourselves, but they do not give a real IQ score. If you did three or four different on line tests you would most likely have three or four very different results, which immediately suggests lack of accuracy and reliability. Most scores on these tests are above 110, which also indicates lack of accuracy and reliability. Of all the on line tests, the Mensa tests are probably the most reliable. I hope this helps.

It's ok. It doesn't differentiate between scores very well which is it's biggest problem. It tends to group most scores between 100 and 130. Scoresoutside this range is unreliable on this test, as it has poor high and low range scoring.

It also has questions that shouldn't be on an IQ test, like highly knowledge based things and analogies. Knowledge based questions have been removed from just about all IQ tests, and most IQ tests that are getting with the times are also removing analogies. They are unfair when trying to look at someones intelligence.

I took it twice, once for real, and once choosing C for every answer.

My real IQ result was equivalent to that of other on-line IQ tests I've taken; my false one was 91.

It seems to be just as accurate as any other on-line IQ test; however, they still want to sell you something, so it probably isn't as reliable as one you would take as part of a class or a Mensa application.

Try www.mensa.org as well. They have been around for a long time. They conduct exams in all locations and has a very good review.
