I hate to sound so fussy, but I HATE clutter!! And if you sort it out right away as it comes in the door, you won't have this problem. Not to mention, keeping your house clutter-free is a lot less stressful and makes you a lot more happy if you don't have to look at all that junk all the time. Get yourself some recycling bins if you don't have them already. Sort through mail as soon as you get it and discard all the crap right away. Don't bring in anything new unless you remove something in it's place. You just can't keep bringing it in without taking it out or eventually, your house will explode! I make a trip to the Salvation Army with excess whenever possible, which is convenient here since you can literally just drive right up and they will take it without having to ever leave your car! Just keep a plastic bin for cast-offs in the front hall closet, or someplace convenient. That way, you will have someplace to put the stuff you want to get rid of and will be more inclined to make the trip once you have a decent pile. The best way to get on track for a clutter-free home, is to give your house a really good once over as soon as possible. Then, all that is required is routine maintenance! Hope this helps.

Not often enough. I start in the living room and always get sidetracked. By the end of the month, I'm so aggravated by all the clutter, I throw everything out. Papers are shredded into confetti, clothes are put in plastic bags and left on the sidewalk for whomever wants them. Within the hour the bags are gone. I think people watch for me!

Not often enough, but for the last 3 days we've made incredible leaps and bounds. We threw a lot out, recycled some, and put all kinds of stuff on criagslist to sell.

I would love to do it more but, the other half is a pack rat and it's hard to get rid of things when she'd around.
A couple of times a year for real deep cleaning ( go through everything ) and for smaller jobs when ever I get time ( once every week or two )

I can't stand clutter, so I clean up any mess I make as I go along.
It is much easier to do that than to have to clean a huge mess.
