Anorexia usually kills faster, if that's what you mean. Neither one is an effective way to lose weight.
If you make yourself throw up, your body actually still absorbs most of the calories from the food, and since it goes into starvation mode, it stores all of those calories. You don't lose weight. What's more, the acid from your stomach destroys your teeth and esophagus. It also makes your breath stink.
If you starve yourself, your body goes into starvation mode, making your metabolism as efficient as possible, so you store the most possible calories and burn the fewest possible, making it as hard as possible to lose weight. What's more, when you do eat, your body will store every single calorie, so you'll gain the weight back as soon as you start eating again. When you don't eat, your body burns fat for a little while. But after more than a few hours of starvation, your body starts burning muscle for energy. That includes your heart. When your body eats its own heart, you die. It's not uncommon for anorexic people to die of heart failure, even in their early teens.
Ashley, bulimia and anorexia are eating disorders. They're serious, even life-treatening illnesses, not diets. Making yourself throw up or starving yourself won't make you cool, it won't make you popular, and it won't make you pretty. It will make you sick. You'll look sick, and you'll be sick. You might even die.
When people develop eating disorders, there's almost always a deeper reason than just wanting to lose weight, even if they don't know it. It might be to gain control, it might be because of low self-esteem, it might even be to make yourself unattractive. But whatever it is, when you're sitting down trying to decide which potentially fatal illness to try to develop there's something very long. Talk to your parents or other adult relative, a school counselor, teacher, doctor, religous leader, or another adult you trust. Even if you don't know what's bothering you that's ok, a counselor can help you figure out what's going on. But talk to someone now, not when you're lying in a hospital bed, or struggling to regain normal eating habits.

Besides the fact that they are extremely dangerous, bulimia and anorexia are not the way to go to lose weight. You end up losing a lot of muscle and vitamins and minerals and become malnourished. Bulimics normally don`t lost as much weight as anorexics because of the constant binging, even if they do purge the food. And with anorexia, starving yourself causes your metabolism to slow down (it`s a defense mechanism our body has in cases of starvation - the metabolism slows down to conserve evergy) and you burn very little calories. And without nourishment you have no energy to excersise. The best way to lose weight is to eat small, frequent meals of plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and lean protein. It`s also important to incorporate physical excersise 30 min. a day. If you follow this plan, avoiding sugar, carbohydrates, and fat, you should lose about a pound a week. This is a safe and healthy way to lose weight. Bulimia and anorexia only cause damage, and in extreme cases death.

Works faster at what, ruining your health for the rest of your life? Bulimia ruins your esophagus and the acid destroys your teeth. Anorexia takes a toll on your entire well being and all the organs in your body can be affected, including your heart. Try healthy dieting, then you can live to enjoy a healthier body.

Certainly not to lose weight. This is a very good way if you want to end up sick or dead. Throwing up continually will take the lining off of your teeth. You will be sick with rotten, falling out teeth. Not to mention the irritation to your esophagus. Your heart cannot tolerate this condition very well either. Eventually you will walk around if you have the strenght to, you'll look like a zombie. Do you want to know which one is quicker to aid in your death ? I donot mean to sound so cruel but you need to get help. Maybe a therapist could help. He/She could get you in touch with a dietician to plan a diet for weight loss the healthy way and perhaps an exercise program. Just think how much better you will look and feel. You will even have a beautiful smile. Please seek professional help. Stick around, we like hearing from you. Good luck and take care.

If you're 13 and worried about being fat then you need to talk with your mother and together you should work on a healthy diet. You don't need to even be thinking about bulimia or anorexia. Please, make sure you get help before you do irreparable damage to your body and your mind.

I've been both anorexic and bulimic and a little bit of both. From my experiences, anorexia made me lose the most weight and bulimia just kept me from gaining weight.

You lose from both in the end. They both have horrible side affects. If I were to choose one, it'd be annorexia because throwing up all the time rots your teeth and burns your esophogus in your throat. Neither are good for you and if you are thinking of being dumb and not eating, it's not worth it. You should probably seek mental help. It's really not worth the future effects of anorexia to be a size 0.

You should do neither, both are very bad. If you want to loose weight and keep it off then you are looking at making some life changes. See a doctor and follow his advice about exercise and diet. Nothing else will work and you will just yo-yo your weight. Loose and then gain it all back. Sorry, there are no simple answers to this question.

They pretty much act at about a similar rate. Neither is a good way to lose weight. Both cause physical and emotional damage.

Bulimia probably; getting rid of the food before it hits the stomach and suchlike.
Don't do it though. You'll be dead by summer. No one wants that, surely.
