(Im‧man′u‧el) [With Us Is God].
True, Jesus was not called “Immanuel.” But that fact does not mean that he did not fulfill this scripture. It was meant to state a fact regarding his mission rather than to give him a literal name. This can be illustrated by another prophecy of Isaiah, found at chapter nine, verses six and seven: “For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. To the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom in order to establish it firmly and to sustain it by means of justice and by means of righteousness.”

Isaiah 7: 14. Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Immanuel is translated, "God With Us". From Wikipedia...
Immanuel or Emmanuel or Imanu'el (×¢Ö´×Ö¼Ö¸× ×Ö¼×Öµ× "God [is] with us", Standard Hebrew Ê¿Immanuʾel, Tiberian Hebrew Ê¿ImmÄnûʾÄl) is a name used in the Book of Isaiah in the Hebrew Bible.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immanuel
Matthew 1:23. - Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Just a few versus later we see that Joseph and Mary ...
Matthew 1: 25. And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Jesus is a mistranslation or unfortunate translation of the Greek. Jesus was actually "Joshua" to us English speakers, or Yehoshúa to the Hebrews. Remember, Jesus would have spoken Aramaic.
Anyway, I'm rambling. The point I'm trying to make is that Jesus, Joshua, was called the Son of God and God and "Surely he is a God", etc, throughout the New Testament.

Isaiah teaches he shall be called Immanuel and is called Immanuel he is named Jesus and is the Christ and Immanuel means God with us...and he is God and was with us to fulfill that which was prophesied to be. He did fulfill the law by offering himself a perfect sacrifice to atone for the sins of all who accept the atonement.

"Immanuel" means "God with us". Since Jesus is the Son of God, and a perfect reflection of God, then the name, by definition, is Christ's name.
