if...
thats the big question. even IF she gets clean, she will never stop thinking about it. like a recovering alcoholic, the thought is always there, its just that they resist the urge.

she will never be the innocent girl you loved once upon a time. she will be different, and be less naive. meth is a crash course in deception, lies, hurt, and paranoia. she will come right after a while, but dont expect the same girl to be there. she will still be there, but the innocence of life is gone, replaced by the harsh realities of the meth psychosis. people come back eventually, just dont expect miracles. it can be similar to being physically or sexually abused. even when there is closure, the person still isnt the same life loving person they were once. the beautiful spark of the inner child is gone forever. it grows people up way too fast, and harshly and some people sell their souls for it.

the earlier she quits the better. if it has been a long habit, just be there for her.

There could possible be some permanent damage, but there is a lot of hope. I have a friend who has used absolutely EVERYTHING in the past, and although his thinking is a little bit slower now, he turned out okay. Meth is one of the most addicting drugs out there. You really need to try to get her into rehab or something. It probably doesn't come good from you. Get a young person from a church, or someone from AA (usually people in AA also have drug problems.) Have someone take her to a prison to see what can really happen to her, and the damages of it all. It is really hard trying to get through to someone, and I can only imagine how hard it must be as a parent! She will learn though.. whether it be a rude awakening, or some time in jail, or just a sudden realization, I doubt she will be doing this her whole life. The singer Fergie had a meth addiction. There are many articles on how she kicked the habbit. Email me if you need any support. Good luck!

She will have troubles for a time. It is not easy to kick any drug habit. The effects do eventually wear off and life gets back to a semblance of what it was before. One problem with drug use is that once one has done it, the next time it is easier.

Her personality should be basically the same as it was, but because of her experiences she will be different, hopefully more mature. I just pray that she will get clean and stay clean.
God Bless you and her.
