We been dating for two years. Since X-mas and including last night, I have been on a mission to show my girlfriend how much I love her and how much she means to me. I showered her with special gifts from the heart, I told her about my past before I met her (I did pornos during the summers while in Unversity to pay for my education). Then while laying in bed cuddling after having sex she asked me to marry her and after I stuttered because I was caught of gaurd she brushed it off as if she didn't mean it and we proceeded to more sex. Does this mean she wants to get married? Or was she just caught in the heat of the moment. She never even hinted about marriage till last night. What should be my next step?

you have two options!
1) get her a ring and propose to her your self
2) talk to her about it, tell her you love her and ask her if she ment what she said!

1.) You ask a question but dont tell us WHAT YOU WANT TO DO?!?!?!? Thats really the answer. What would you or did you think before she sadi it, even if during the sex, about marriage? Thats your answer. Don't rush forward to be something you think you want, research where you are first - with her is ok.
2.) Whay did you tell us you did Porno's in college? ITs unusual for a guy to comeforward on something like that. Its just wierd, I do not get the connection. You must just be ashamed of it and wanted to get it out there with all the gifts etc. A lot of time, I have just learned last night, we will give gifts or pout things we might want or like someone to do out of guilt for something we have done or can not deal with. If thats the case - you have a lot of walking to do to make sure you are happy with self before giving her your life.
I only say this because I am going thru a separation from someone who is my best friend, my love and it really hurts to lose her. I realize I may have made her out to be something she is not and associated anything that could be trouble with taboo from our home and relationship eventually running her away. Tough pill to swallow but its my pill.

Are you living together? If not, maybe you should try that first. If you are, and you think this girl is the one, maybe you should start thinking about marriage. You should just talk to her about it in the opened and you can both decide together the best way to proceed. You could be right; maybe she did ask in passion. The only way to know for sure is to talk about it. You just need to discuss it in a more rational state at let the cards fall where they may.

but with girls you never know ;)
your next step would be figuring out if you really want a future with her and then the next time you see her ask if she was serious and if she was then you should have a ring ready and ask her to marry you

If you love her and want to marry her someday, tell her yes, but if this is the case, make sure you tell her that you want the courtship to be long. If you don't want to ever get married to her or to anyone, then tell her no and maybe explain that it's not her, but that you don't want to get married or you aren't ready for that level of commitment.

Horrible situation to ask really. Why would you ask in that situation? And she brushed it off like it was nothing. So I believe she wasn't too serious about it. I guess the best thing to do is speak to her about it. The best but worst, ha!!!

When you're both standing up with your clothes on and not having sex....ask her if she was serious.
If you're contemplating marriage with this woman you need to learn how to talk to her about anything and everything or your marriage will not last very long.

If you can't even communicate to her about this without asking strangers first then you are not ready to marry her. Sounds like you need to work on your communication with her first.

If you want to marry her then propose if you feel your not ready just leave it a while and don't mention it even happening.

decide if you want to marry her and if the answer is yes...get her a ring and propose....but don't take too much time....the poor girl put herself out there and you couldn't respond properly...she is probably feeling very hurt....good luck
