I'd say no perm at all, its damaging.

Straight perm-- or magic straight. Curling it is good too but I hear that the curls become loose and kind of messy. I think if you do want curly hair, it's good. Straight perm usually lasts a year or so. For straight perm, you want long hair because if your hair is too light [or short] it won't work as well. Both perms are kind of damaging to your hair-- but it won't really show and are pretty expensive [ranging from $80 - $200 depending on where you go]

Depends on your hair. Start with the gentlest one first, then work your way up to a stronger one if that didn't get the result you wanted. Also, the larger the perm rollers the bigger the curl. I'd start with loose curls first, because it's easier to grow out (not so obvious) if you don't like the results.

id say no perm it very damaging but u cud straiten it occasionally w/ a flat iron.

i would never get a perm.. it may look pretty at the begining..
but then it becomes all big and frizzzy and very unmanagble!
