A stick of butter is about 90 grams, softened is that you put it out of the fridge and it softens. You can also try to put it in the microwave for 10 second only.

Butter is generally sold four "sticks" to the pound. So, a stick is 1/4th of a pound (or 4 ounces). Volume equivalent: half a cup.
Metric equivalent, I haven't a clue !!

A 'stick' is 8 Tblsp., or 1/2 cup. A one-pound package of butter/margarine has 4 sticks in it.

1 stick is a half a cup , softened softened means room temperature you can help it along a little in the microwave just soften it a little dont disolve it . it is also 8 table spoons

4 ounces in us-of a ,butter is packed in 16ozs , thus4 sticks to 1 lb. about125 kg o.k enjoy the brownies .yum yum
