a friend had a fundraiser for me last year to help pay for my medical bills due to my disability. how/where do i put this info on my tax form and how much should i expect to pay in on this money- $6000?

This money was a gift to you and is not taxable. You do not include it on your tax return.

You incorrectly presume he does not. Presidents traditionally invite some "common" human beings to connect such activities. Or are you suggesting that TENS of hundreds of hundreds of tax payers might desire to get an invitation to the handful of state dinners a president could host?
