Ok, ok. Enough already, this is an important question. We have all pretty much agreed that Noah built the ark. This was what God had instructed him to do since God was going to destroy the earth with a great flood. Noah took 120 years to build it with only his immediate family (3 sons and wives and his wife).
While they built the ark, they witnessed to those around them and told them of the impending flood. Please note that the earth had not seen rain as of yet and was protected from the sun by a layer of what is called firmament so that the living things here were in a paradise situation that is what God had desired for his creation.
When the heavens opened up and the deep opened up it took only 40 days to flood the entire earth and wipe out all living creatures. Noah and his family were all that were saved from the flood.
When Jesus walked on the water showing his power over nature and calming the storm, giving the apostles a lesson in faith, he did so just to show that he was in control of the natural forms of the weather. He used a boat to traverse the water in many more travels than not. He didn't just go about skipping across the lakes.

Jesus could walk on water..but Noah and the animals could not....so thus God instructed Noah on how to build the Ark and NOAH built the ARK...

Noah built the ark, before Jesus. Also, even if Jesus had been their, his being able to walk on water would not have allowed him to carry a pair of every animal on his back.

Jesus wasn't even born in the ARK times! Noah built the ARK. Noah could not walk on water....and neither could the animals....
