Yes, and it is automatic. You can appeal, and then your appeal is rejected automatically.
We are all in this fish bowl together. So, I suggest we play "chat".
To play "chat" we all give each other a little slack for the sake of "freeom of expression".
Let's not delete anyone, unless they really gross us out.
(I hope the Muslims will learn to play "chat" and stop deleting our freedom of expression).

I had a question and there was nothing wrong with it. It wasn't even posted, I hit "Submit", it didn't appear in the list of questions and about a second later I got a violation notice, and lost ten points. That is without the question even being posted. I tried again a few times, a few days later. Same result. There must be a filter in the system, because the violation notices came in far too fast to be coming from a person.

As far as I can tell they are read, if briefly, and only removed if they fail one of th Y! guidelines. That said, there are plenty of crazy removals and crazy questions that stay, but it isn't just the case that a report equals a removal. There would be no questions left here if that happened.

It is just removed. It's a basic flaw in the reporting system that is commonly abused by the people that do not accept different opinions and ideas. When they see a question or an answer that they don't like, they report is as abuse to make it disappear

It's automated... if it receives enough violation votes from users the system just kicks it out and puts a violation on your record... if enough pile up in a certain amount of time Yahoo will deactivate your account... you lose answers, 360, mail, and any other yahoo service you use.
I've had it happen to me once, you can get it back, but it takes a long time and a LOT of emails.
The system itself is a major flaw... funny how people can abuse the abuse system.

A fast decision is made.IF it i removed it costs 10 points.
If you Challenge the Violation Notice it is indeed possible to get back the points.
Too many notices and you area a GONNER.

I think they just automatically remove it no metter what. It does not appear that they actually research the question first
