It is someone who is so devoted to their atheism that they become basically an "anti-theist." They are those that are actively critical of those who believe in a God or gods. They also espouse the idea that the world would be better if their were no religion at all.

I am atheist , this means quite simply that I do not believe in God! That cant be difficult to understand can it? 'Fundamentalist atheist'? Where did you dig that up from?
I, or any other atheist that I know of, do not divide our selves into 'sections' we do not believe in God, full stop period!
I really have been trying to get a grip of your 'fundamentalist'
thing but cant. I will be very interested in any other answers, but as an atheist I have stated my case, if any one differs from that they are not atheist, maybe 'agnostic' or whatever 'section' you care to classify them as .

An atheist that wants to get back to the fundamentals. Just like a christian fundamentalist who is hardcore in his beliefs, wants to find the 'true' answers in the Bible, the atheist seeks to find his answers in nature and the realities of the world.
Again, this come down to Science teaches us 'HOW'. Religion teaches us 'WHY'. Neither does justice to the other side of the question. One is fact based, the other faith based. Leave Science out of the church and and leave faith out of the schools.

I'm not sure there is such a thing. The only sort of differences between atheist A and atheist B is the amount of evangelizing they do, so the atheist who actually discusses religion with the intent to show people the error of theism is more militant, whereas the one who is content to hide his beliefs is not militant at all.

Fundamentalists is a movement in American Protestantism that arose in the early part of the 20th century in reaction to modernism and that stresses the infallibility of the Bible not only in matters of faith and morals but also as a literal historical record, holding as essential to Christian faith belief in such doctrines as the creation of the world, the virgin birth, physical resurrection, atonement by the sacrificial death of Christ, and the Second Coming.
Atheism is the disbelief in the existence of a deity or deities. It is commonly defined as the positive denial of theism (ie. the assertion that deities do not exist), or the deliberate rejection of theism (i.e., the refusal to believe in the existence of deities). However, others—including most atheistic philosophers and groups—define atheism as the simple absence of belief in deities (cf. nontheism), thereby designating many agnostics, and people who have never heard of gods, such as the unchurched or newborn children, as atheists as well. In recent years, some atheists have adopted the terms strong and weak atheism to clarify whether they consider their stance one of positive belief no gods exist, or of negative unbelief.
Like I answered earlier when you asked this...they are claiming there never was a God. If they are not for God they are against them. Anyone who is against God is in Satanism whether they claim it is true or not.
