She was great really you know. She stood up for what she believed with passion and commitment. I admire her. People with passion are much more interesting and worth listening to than people without.

Mary Whitehouse was a misguided old woman. The true basis of all major religions is love for all man/woman kind. Anyone who hates is a sinner in the eyes of all the Gods and godesses

She even banned Andy- Pandy because all the toys ended the show by getting into the same basket...what was she on???!!! People like her cause mental problems and unhealthy attitudes rather than help. Silly old woman...that's the polite version!

No not at all. She was a bit over the top, but I think I would prefer her company to yours. For a kick off, she did not believe in the unecessary use of profanities.

A lot of what she said was wrong is now become popular entertainment. sex on Telly, etc and people are desensitised by it.
so in some ways she was right.
