The Bible says not to mark your body, but I don't know that it's actually a sin.

I don't think that the act of piercing is a sin, but like any act, you have to examine the heart. WHY do you want to get pierced? Is it so that you can become the center of attention? Is it a pride thing? That would be the sin.
God also suggests that women use restraint in adorning themselves.
So to answer the question, you must first ask, "Why do I want to get pierced", then examine THAT answer.

If you are following a Christian ethic then I would say tat you have to ask yourself is a piercing sinful for me. What are your motives to get a piercing? If you are doing it to "get back" at your parents or to be rebellious then it would probably be sinful. If you are getting one because you like it and there are no ulterior motives (such as mentioned above), then it probably isn't.
Things that aren't specifically noted as sinful in the bible really come down to personal taste. If you are doing something that YOU think is sinful (and it isn't mentioned as such in the bible) then it is sinful. Search your heart and let your faith be the guide.

Yes. And no.
The modern day christians, do not take it as bad as they used to, and is not considered sin.
But to catholics, any thing that you do to your body, is considered sin. Same goes with tattoos.
Ever noticed the Omish never pierce or tattoo?
Yeah, I don't have a website source or anything, but I attend a really cathloic school in maryland, so I know upfront.

I don't believe piercings are a sin. It just depends on your motivation for having them. I'm fairly certain that the Bible (which is my final authority) doesn't refer anywhere specifically to body piercings. It probably WOULD be a sin if you got pierced just to draw attention to yourself.

No sin is ever proclaimed against tatooing or peircing except the cutting of flesh.
if you peirce your ear lobe you are declared a free slave. if you peirce your other body parts, you show a determination to defile the body. it is not a wholesome and modest act to do so.
i once believed that changing hair color is closer to sin than not. but i think my belief on that matter has changed.
it is the conclusion of my understanding that people have the right to choose what ever they do. but they have to live with the consequences of every decision. Even if it is dieing from an infection that cannot be healed.

Nooooo! Actually, in my personal opinion sins are just behaviors against the church..They used God´s name, threatening them to go to Hell if they behaved in a way that would bother the church.. Basically, sins are men using God´s name to set the standard behaviour they want. The truth is, as long as we are good people, be nice to others, to ourselves, God doesn´t care if we have a little hole with an earing in our body..What matter is what´s inside.. not the outside!

Honestly, do you really care if it is a sin or not? Next we'll hear that if you don't chew your food 24 times before swallowing it is a sin, or perhaps the emission of intestinal gases is also a sin, What next I wonder?

No - the Biblical reservation against piercings was likely due to the chance of infection. However, we live in a different time - those who do piercings often use sterile tools, to reduce the chance of infection.

Not really. I mean--I think the whole nose/eyebrow/belly/lip piercing fetish is probably not what God wants from his beautiful creations. But I'm all for piercing my little girl's ears. It's a matter of good taste and glory to God. Making yourself beautiful is nice for God. Making yourself a freak is not.
