I am thinking about doing a Broadway themed bedroom. I have some show posters and playbills that I think I am going to frame and hang on a wall. I also was thinking about putting stage lights in the corners of the room and maybe get a mirror and put lights around it like the backstage of a theater. I also thought about painting the outline of a city skyline on a wall and maybe on the other walls have music notes. Do you have any other ideas that I overlooked? What do you think of stage curtains on the windows and possibly behind my bed. Please give me some more ideas! Thanks!

I think stage curtains are an awesome idea! Maybe red or dark velvet with gold tiebacks? You can also use those theatrical masks, i forget what they're called with the happy and sad faces.

Maybe you can stencil the lines from a favorite show on the walls or around doors/windows. I bet you can get cool handles/dress knobs online or at home depot or something that are musical notes or have pictures of building or something.

Good luck!

That sounds sooo cool! On the wall with the music notes you should paint the walls black and make the music notes in white and add glitter everywhere! Mabye if you have the means have a platform made to put your bed on so that it looks like a stage and put the curtains around your bed and mabye around your tv and computer if you have those things in you room. Your idea sounds soo wonderful have a great time making it happen! Good Luck!

you could use those big velvet stage curtains as somewhat of a canopy around your bed, framed playbills is a good idea. i can't think of the name of the happy and sad face thing but like hang that somewhere, posters of famous musicals are good maybe paint a stage or something on the wall

You could also see if any of your favorite Broadway stars send out autographed headshots that you could frame and put on your wall. Or some stage shots from your favorite musicals would be cool, too. Or look around online for props from musicals you like that you could display. A friend of mine has some of the props from Les Mis because her uncle worked with the Prop Master!

Wow sounds really cool... maybe a star on the door as if it was a star's dressing room. A street sign saying 42nd st. or broadway...city skyline sounds great! What a cool room!
